Hello, and welcome to my wild food and foraging universe!

My name is Helena, and I’m a forager from Denmark. I love spending time in nature, discovering new places, and tasting what the wild has to offer. Whether I’m cooking indoors or outdoors, I enjoy creating recipes with wild ingredients and exploring new ways to bring nature into the kitchen.

I find it fascinating that the world around us is like a natural pantry – full of edible treasures just waiting to be discovered. With Skovkær, my goal is to inspire you to start foraging and cooking with ingredients straight from nature.

My love for wild food and nature was sparked by my father and uncle, both biologists who have worked with edible mushrooms for over 30 years. Foraging trips and holidays in the Nordic countries are a cherished family tradition. We spend our days exploring forests in search of mushrooms, herbs, berries, nuts, and wild plants – and in the evenings, we prepare and enjoy the day’s harvest together.
